Introitos

   Introitos (open project)
Clay forms that invite to the contemplation of the body, the origin and the transit.
Introitos is a series of sculptural pieces in clay that are born from the body and towards the body. Modeled without  repetitions or molds, these forms invite to a slow contemplation, where the organic, the sensorial and the symbolic intertwine. Each piece functions as a portal: a place of passage, of transit, of transformation, where cavities, folds and openings evoke both the feminine and the  universal, and dialogue of life cycles, of beginnings and endings, of entrances and exits.
  •      The title of the project has a double resonance, on the one hand it refers to the vaginal introitus, understood not only as an anatomical structure, but as a symbolic threshold of origin, desire and generative power. The project appropriates the vaginal introitus as a foundational image, neither passive nor closed, but active, receptive and transformative.     Introitos is in continuous process, growing from the material and the symbolic. Each new piece is an investigation into the body, perception and the thresholds we inhabit.
